On May 2, 2022, Politico published a draft of the Supreme Court ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade. Within days, the country met a pro-choice group called “Jane’s Revenge.” In time, we learned the truth about President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) stance on protecting the lives and safety of both preborn children and US citizens.
What Is This Group?
Jane’s Revenge is a militant extremist terrorist group with links to ANTIFA. While they claim to be officially unorganized, an anonymous writer used a blog to incite others to “join in the fun” of terrorizing and assaulting ideological opponents, destroying property, and “joyfully” claiming responsibility through lewd and threatening graffiti.
It is believed Jane’s Revenge was named after the pseudonym of Jane Roe (Norma McCorvey) of Roe v. Wade.
The attacks consisted of spray-painted graffiti, arson, broken windows and doors, dead animals left at the entrance, assaults, threats of destruction and murder, and an attack on a police officer with a flaming torch.
Their actions and graffiti incited violence around the country with threats and calls to action such as:
- Jane was here.
- If abortion ain’t safe, neither are you.
- We’re coming for you.
- Your time is up.
- Abort God.
- We are everywhere.
- Anarchist symbols
- Fake Clinic
- This won’t stop.

Jane’s Revenge Crime Spree Begins
May 7, 2022
The first attack involved a man who harassed Concerned Women for America in Alexandria, Virginia for weeks. He threw things at the building and inside cars in the parking lot. He urinated on the front doors and on the building. He repeatedly flipped off the cameras and ripped them off their mounts, leaving exposed wiring.
May 8, 2022
In the early morning of May 8, 2022, Hridindu Sankar Roychowdhury launched three Molotov cocktails into the Wisconsin Family Action office in Madison, WI. The first of many Jane’s Revenge messages was discovered on the outside walls of the building.
While DNA from three different individuals was found on evidence from the crime scene, only Roychowdhury was arrested.
Even though Roychowdhury burned the building in Wisconsin, he was charged with one felony count of attempting to cause damage by means of fire or an explosive. He was sentenced to 90 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release and required to pay a $32,000 fine.
That same evening, the tabernacle was stolen from St. Bartholomew—an Apostle Catholic Church in Katy, Texas. A few days later, it was found at a local Burger King. Though cracked open, the gold and money remained inside. The thief only took the elements of the communion.
What Did Jane’s Revenge First Communique Say?
Jane’s Revenge introduced itself to the public in its First Communique, published online May 8, 2022. They stated that the bombing in Madison, Wisconsin “was only a warning,” and that next time “the infrastructure of the enslavers will not survive.”
They demanded “the disbanding of all anti-choice establishments, fake clinics, and violent anti-choice groups within the next thirty days” and promised “no further warnings,” but “increasingly extreme tactics” if their demands were not met. The First Communique ended with something reminiscent of a horror movie.
And we will not stop, we will not back down, nor will we hesitate to strike.
We are not one group, but many. We are in your city. We are in every city.

Jane’s Revenge Attacks — First 30 Days
And with that began a wave of terror for judges, conservative members of Congress, firefighters, police, and anyone affiliated with Pregnancy Clinics and Christian churches.
They made good on their threats immediately, to the tune of fifty attacks around the country through the month of May. All of them went unprosecuted, except one.
On May 28, Caleb Freestone, Gabriella Oropesa, Annarella Rivera, and Amber Marie Smith-Stewart smashed windows and left graffiti on the outside walls of a pregnancy clinic in Hollywood, Florida.
NIGHT OF RAGE
On May 30, Jane’s Revenge published “An Autonomous Call to Action Against Patriarchal Supremacy” which begins with a call to make “the state to express this madness fully and with ferocity,” and that “We need them to be afraid of us.”
The writer then calls for people around the country to “come out after dark” and “do what you can to make your anger known” at 8 pm, acknowledging that, of course, 8 pm is a general guideline depending on the needs of the community.
Again, the notice includes a collective call for violence and a threat to anyone who believes differently.
Do not wait until the verdict arrives to organize.
Make plans now. Take action now.
To those who work to oppress us: If abortion isn’t safe, you aren’t either. We are everywhere.
—Jane’s Revenge
Indeed, their calls were answered. Among dozens of other attacks was the CompassCare Pregnancy Clinic in Amherst, a suburb of Buffalo, NY. They were attacked a total of three times.
June 7, 2022
The first attack was on June 7, 2022. Jane’s Revenge left graffiti on the firebombed CompassCare clinic in Amhurst, NY. The blaze caused an estimated $530,000 in damage and two firefighters were admitted to the hospital with injuries.
The attack was caught on surveillance cameras. It took two masked arsonists almost two minutes to smash windows, throw something through the windows, and flee. According to CompassCare CEO, Jim Harden, the license plates are visible in the video.
Later, pro-abortion advocate Jennifer Page provided information about the arson attack. Despite the video, the license plates, and Page’s contribution, no arrest was ever made.
According to Harden, “The FBI refused to investigate so we hired private investigators. The DOJ refuses to indict, so we brought FACE charges. . . It is ridiculous that as pro-life citizens we are forced to do the job of both the FBI and DOJ.”
June 10, 2022
On June 10, 2022, someone wrote Jane’s Revenge graffiti on the building and then threw explosives through a window at the First Image Pregnancy Center in Gresham, Oregon. The fire caused significant fire, smoke, and water damage. The clinic closed for over a year during repairs.
“Your Time is Up” – The Next 30 Days
Jane’s Revenge published Another Communique on June 14, where they claimed responsibility for more than 16 attacks as proof of their sincerity. And then a chilling promise of “increasingly drastic measures [that] may not come in the form of something so easily cleaned up as fire and graffiti. …Sometimes you will think you merely are unlucky, because you cannot see the ways which we interfere in your affairs.”
“You could have walked away. Now the leash is off … From here forward, any anti-choice group who closes their doors, and stops operating will no longer be a target. But until you do, it’s open season, and we know where your operations are.”
The call to action encouraged people “to burn, to cut… go forth and manifest the things you wish to see.”
There were 25 attacks that week alone.
June 24 – ROE OVERTURNED
First responders, police, and firefighters continued to follow the carnage through another week of double-digit attacks. The Dobbs v. Jackson decision was released on June 24, 2022.
In what seemed like the only measure to silence the calls for violence, Facebook designated Jane’s Revenge as a tier 1 group terrorist group subject to the same censorship restrictions as anyone expressing “praise, support, and representation” applied to the Islamic State and Hitler.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) broke Capital Hill’s silence through a public memo broadcast on mainstream news outlets to warn the country that “violence could occur for weeks.” As many Jane’s Revenge victims reported, Biden’s administration continued their efforts to give victims at least a few hour’s notice before the attack.
June 25, 2022
On June 25, the Life Choices Clinic in Longmont, Colorado sustained heavy fire and smoke damage. Jane’s Revenge claimed responsibility for the fire through graffiti on the side of the building.
We will hunt you down.
Two days after Dobbs, a new blog post appeared on the Jane’s Revenge website with a terrifying warning to all conservatives around the nation. Here is a sample of the blog:
“To all the conservatives, Fox News anchors, judges, cops, Christian extremists, or federal agents reading this… Some spray paint will be the least of your worries… We will hunt you down and make your lives a living hell… So far, it’s just been pregnancy crisis centers, but tomorrow it might be your cars, your homes, or even your lives. We support a diversity of tactics, and we will not step down in this fight.”
That night, Freestone, Oropesa, Rivera, and Smith-Stewart Florida vandalized a Clinic in Winter Haven, Florida.
There was also a fire on the property at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Reston, VA. Authorities suspected an accelerant was used to ignite smoldering mulch. Jane’s Revenge graffiti was left behind, including an obscene message referencing female genitalia, which the church immediately washed off.
June 28, 2022
On June 28, Maeve Nota, 31, a transgender female, attacked St. Louise Catholic Church in Bellevue, WA. She repeatedly threw rocks until the entrance door shattered, wrote graffiti on the building, destroyed an Italian-made Blessed Virgin Mary statue, and spray-painted a church employee’s face and clothes.
The attack was caught on surveillance videos in broad daylight and Nota wore only a regular face mask. She was arrested and entered into a plea agreement for the destruction of religious property. Despite over $30,000 worth of damage and a physical attack on church staff, Nota avoided jail time and received only three years of probation.
July 3, 2022
On July 3, 2022, Freestone, Oropesa, Rivera, and Smith-Stewart went on a crime spree of attacks on three Clinics in Central and Southern Florida, all owned by Heartbeat of Miami.
July 8, 2022
Jane’s Revenge posted what turned out to be their final blog post. It begins by describing attacks on two clinics in Worcester, MA.
“It is fun and easy to attack. As more people discover the joy in attacking the infrastructure of the patriarchy, the attacks will surely continue with increasing frequency. To anyone reading this thinking that it sounds like a good time, consider this your invitation to join the party.”
The blog ended with a warning to anyone who may try to stop them, saying “You may be next.”
Despite claiming responsibility for numerous attacks and repeated language to incite violence upon anyone with a variety of traditional values, there are no reports of investigations or charges for the blog.
The blog remains published as of this printing almost three years later. All posts and communications were written by an anonymous author whom the authorities were not able to identify, even though five known Jane’s Revenge affiliates were convicted and sentenced to carry out the crimes described on the blog.
The following are just a few of the attacks that occurred after Jane’s Revenge’s last blog post.
July 12, 2022
On July 12, dozens of pro-choice protestors attacked the Evanston, IL home of Thomas Brejcha, a lawyer with the Thomas Moore Society. Brejcha represents several well-known peaceful pro-life demonstrators who have been over-prosecuted.
The attack included spray paint, fireworks, and smoke bombs. The police warned Brejcha the attack was planned, but they did nothing to stop it.
September 17, 2022
On September 17, 2022, Freestone and Rivera hacked into Heartbeat of Miami’s system to add their names to the guest list for the annual fundraising gala. Once inside, they shouted obscenities, disparaged Heartbeat’s staff, volunteers, and supporters, and leafletted the venue with propaganda.
Smith-Stewart & Rivera were sentenced to 30 days in custody and 2 months of home confinement. Freestone was charged with conspiracy to intimidate employees and sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison.
All three of them were required to issue written apologies to the Clinics, they were forbidden from going within 100 feet of any of the five Clinics owned by Heartbeat of Miami, and they had to pay a total combined amount of $6,750 in damages.
The court indictment report also refers to “other persons known and unknown,” but there is no record of prosecuting the known or investigating the unknown.
The DOJ recommended that the courts dismiss all FACE Act charges brought against Roychowdhury, Freestone, Oropesa, Smith-Stewart, and Rivera. Even though such a recommendation carries no legal or jurisdictional power… the courts chose to comply.
Oropesa has not yet been sentenced, but in a separate civil case as part of a civil suit, she was ordered to pay $13,000.
Sept 20, 2022
On September 20, Richard Harvey, 74, shot Joan Jacobson, 83, as she was walking to her car from Harvey’s home in Ionia, Michigan. Joan was going door-to-door seeking signatures against a proposal that would preserve abortion rights as part of the Michigan state constitution.
As Joan left, she heard a shot and felt pain in her upper shoulder a few inches from her neck. She turned to see Mr. Harvey standing near the barn with a pistol. She got in the car and drove herself to the hospital for treatment.
Harvey told the 911 dispatcher, “I didn’t shoot her on purpose. She was a right-wing nut. I’m sorry I shot her.”
Richard Harvey pled no contest and was charged with felonious assault and reckless discharge of a firearm causing injury to a charge of shooting He was sentenced to 12 months’ probation and 100 hours of community service. He also had to forfeit his gun, and he could not have contact with Jacobson.
While this attack carries no resemblance to the others, Harvey’s extreme behavior and the court’s nonchalant response to a near-fatal shooting is a horrifying testament to the culture and mindset, especially in what we like to think is a civilized society in a developed, educated country.
Culture of Violence Continues
April 15, 2023
Whitney Durant, 20, also known as “Soren Monroe” frequently bullied and harassed pro-life students at the Bowling Green, OH college campus, along with staff, and volunteers — both in person and online — but the university did nothing.
Then, on April 15, 2023, she defaced exterior walls of HerChoice Pregnancy Clinic with Jane’s Revenge messaging. It seems the self-proclaimed pro-choice advocate wasn’t in favor of the support HerChoice provided to women hoping to provide a future for themselves and their children.
Durant was sentenced to two years of probation and a $2,000 dollar fine for one count of intentionally damaging a reproductive health care center. There were no consequences for her repeated bullying and intimidation.
May 10, 2023
On May 10, 2023, an employee at the JMJ Catholic pregnancy center in Orlando, FL found three mutilated animals. The mutilation combined with the lack of blood present on the animals suggest a ritualistic killing.
March 13, 2023
On March 15, 2023, Hannah Kamke, 39, spray painted a sign at the same Amherst, NY, CompassCare clinic that was firebombed in June 2022. She was charged with one count of disorderly conduct in the third degree. She was sentenced to one year of conditional discharge, $2,580 in restitution, and issued a verbal warning to stay away from the facility.
Spring 2023
Jennifer Page, 39, (also known as “Jennifer L. Clark” and “Queen City Feminist”) and other unnamed co-conspirators staged at least three more attacks on the Amherst, NY, CompassCare in the spring of 2023.
In one incident, Page and her team organized a counterattack on a pro-life march where they blocked a public highway to interrupt the march and prevent anyone from going to CompassCare. The group placed nails and glass on the road, leading to at least one injury. One of Page’s team members assaulted a police officer with a bullhorn, and another punched a CompassCare supporter.
In other attacks, Page and her team spray-painted vulgar, lewd, and threatening messages on the sidewalk and entrance. Page also trespassed and stole a no trespassing sign.
June 23, 2023
On June 23, 2023, abortion doctor, Theodore Roummell, ran over pro-life sidewalk counselor, Mark Zimmerman, twice in the driveway of the Women’s Center of Saginaw.
The clinic surveillance video shows Zimmerman walking across the parking lot when Roummell pulled into the driveway. Instead of stopping, he continued rolling forward until the front tire hit Zimmerman’s leg knocking him to the ground. Only then did Roummell stop, put his vehicle in reverse, and backed over Zimmerman again before driving around him to the parking lot.
The video shows Roummell parking his vehicle, getting out, and glancing back to see Zimmerman lying on the ground. Roummell waved his hand in dismissal before proceeding into the building.
According to Zimmerman, when police arrived, Roummell screamed at the officers insisting the pro-life counselors always blocked his entry. Despite witness testimony to the police, Roummell was not arrested and simply returned to work.
Zimmerman had several surgeries to insert pins, rods, and screws into his leg and ankle. The authorities did not pursue the assault, so Zimmerman filed charges.
Witnesses signed statements that Roummell consistently threatened to run people over with his car. In fact, Zimmerman was not Roummell’s first hit-and-run pro-life victim. Roummell was charged with assault and served six months of probation for running over a woman in 2012.
The judge cited insufficient evidence and dismissed the case during the preliminary hearing.
Summary: Pro-Choice Perpetrators At-a-Glance
The following is a chart with the crimes listed by date, along with the date and city of the crime, the crimes they were convicted of, and the sentences they received. Keep in mind that most of these sentences were handed down in 2024, a clear message that the acceptance of violence towards traditional Christian, life-affirming values persists.
With one sentence still pending, the DOJ has sentenced seven people to 105 months (8.75 years) in jail or prison, 42 months (3.5 years) of sentencing outside of jail or prison, and $43,250 in damages and fines.

Conclusion
When Jesus was betrayed, Peter struck a Roman soldier with the sword and cut off the man’s ear. We can only assume Peter expected Jesus to be grateful for His bodyguard and to flee. But Jesus used that moment to teach us how to respond to those who would persecute us.
It’s natural to want to strike back at injustice. However, Jesus calls us to pray for our enemies, forgive those who harm us, and to minister to those who persecute us. At PreBorn!, we understand this is hard, but we must wake up every morning asking Jesus for the strength and mercy to follow His example.
We hope you will join us in praying for peace and healing amid the fight for life.
